My tough life of the last few months!

Well it has been quite a while since I have updated people on happenings in life and my photography. Currently I am busy working, getting in shape for Wildfire Season, and another of my great adventures: Turkey. I’m sure many of you (if you didn’t already know) are shocked to see I am headed to Turkey given the current situation, but James Ustadza and I fly out 5MAY. James and Ustadza will be there for two weeks, I will be there for a full month. Yes, we are each well aware of the deteriorating security situation there but even with terrorist threats Turkey is far from the most dangerous place I have traveled.

Backing up a bit to last year, I had a great fall and winter with a very enjoyable (though unsuccessful) deer hunt. Despite no Bambi, I did a lot of enjoyable hiking through beautiful places I wouldn’t normally explore, had some great camp fires with good friends, and of course took the camera.

Come December I met up with Dad and we had a great time camping on the desert south of Wickenburg, with a good hike up Vulture Peak the next morning.

Early winter was quite promising with some great snow storms that dumped relatively significant amounts of powder on Prescott and the surrounding area. For anyone who knows me there are few things in life more exciting to me than playing in the snow, so every chance I got I would badger one person or another into heading out with me. I even got Mom and Ustadza to come into the cold for a bit!

This all brings me up to about Christmas, which is where I think I shall leave off for now since it feels like a good breaking point and I need to do some adulting by cleaning the kitchen and such. This is my first attempt at blogging, over the next few days I will try to get some more stuff up for y’all to enjoy with some more specific topics like Ustadza’s dance and Kelsey and her wedding dress.
